TPG Lower Interview - 1/15/04<[-AV-]Major^3^TPG> hey<sp3c-bullet`vacation> hi <[-AV-]Major^3^TPG> wanan answer a few quick q's? <sp3c-bullet`vacation> sure <[-AV-]Major^3^TPG> awesome :) <[-AV-]Major^3^TPG> What made you decide to join TPG? <sp3c-bullet`vacation> I needed a training ground for my backups and for starters to tryout using new classes. Also, with only the starters getting playing time in CAL Main I felt it was important to get my other players some playing time elsewhere, so that they don't get rusty. <[-AV-]Major^3^TPG> What expectations do you have from the league? <sp3c-bullet`vacation> I expect TPG Lower to provide enough competetion that my players will get good practice, but not so much that they can't win. Winning will help their confidence which is why I wanted to join Lower instead of Upper. <[-AV-]Major^3^TPG> Do you know any of the existing teams and what are your thoughts about them? <[-AV-]Major^3^TPG> and who do u see as your greatest challenge in your division? <sp3c-bullet`vacation> Upper and Lower or just Lower? <[-AV-]Major^3^TPG> both <sp3c-bullet`vacation> I recognize the majority of the Upper teams and know that most of them are decent teams. It is a shame not to see dgf listed on there any more though. They are a really good team. <sp3c-bullet`vacation> In Lower I feel that FsM and KiW are going to be good competetion. <[-AV-]Major^3^TPG> Can u give a short background/history of sp3c? <sp3c-bullet`vacation> RWB*B and FsM are the only two clans in our division that I feel will be a challenge <sp3c-bullet`vacation> Sp3c|aLisT started back in 1.3 beta with two guys named MethoD and Sp3c|aLisT who pubbed a lot together. These two guys wanted people to know that they were friends and were playing with each other, so MethoD decided that they should use Sp3c|aLisT as a "tag" and hence Sp3c|aLisT was formed with Sp3c|aLisT-MethoD and Sp3c|aLisT-HeaT being its only two members [continued] <sp3c-bullet`vacation> When 3.1 Beta came out MethoD and HeaT recruited BuLLeT FoDDeR and the clan continued to be a pub on clan who were just playing the game for fun. When MethoD and HeaT quit playing DOD shortly after the release of 1.0, BuLLeT did not want to pub alone or let his clan die out, so he began to recruit. He soon realized that most people wanting to join a clan wished to play in leagues, so Sp3c|aLisT joined CAL-O and went on from there. <sp3c-bullet`vacation> that's the short version of the history <sp3c-bullet`vacation> you don't want the long version :-P <[-AV-]Major^3^TPG> sounds good :) haha <sp3c-bullet`vacation> btw, I'm supposed to be on vacation from DOD today...
